Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs For Employees

GETTING STARTED

  • If you’d go to HR for it (but don’t trust your HR), come to us. Think: manager issues, unfair pay, weird vibes at work, burnout, retaliation, documentation help, tough convos, accommodations, or shady exit energy.

  • Of course!  We support individuals from all industries. We work with HUMANS of every background, identity, and walk of life. Black women, LGBTQ+ folks, disabled employees, first-gen professionals, and anyone dealing with bias, microaggressions, retaliation, or just straight-up unfair treatment. And yes, that includes men too. If it impacts your dignity and peace at work, we’re here.

  • Yes — and specifically, W-2 employees. We currently don’t support international employees or 1099 contractors.

  • We work with people committed to truth and accountability. If you’re looking to cover something up or just want someone to co-sign a bad idea, that’s not us.

  • Always. We don’t report to your employer, and nothing gets shared outside of our sessions unless you ask us to.

LET’S TALK LOGISTICS

  • Yes. If that’s part of what you need, we’ll prep you — scripts, talking points, how to set boundaries, how to ask for what you deserve.

  • You bring your story, your questions, and any documents. We’ll bring the clarity.

  • We may use a notetaker or record the session, but only if you’re cool with it. It helps us stay fully present and engaged in the conversation. Any recording is for training and quality purposes only, and you can opt out ahead of time in the intake form.

THE COST OF KEEPING IT REAL

  • Because it includes priority scheduling — we’re making space for you within 24 hours.

  • Not at this time, but we do offer limited pro bono sessions.

  • No refunds, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours in advance. No-shows or late cancellations may forfeit the session.

AFTER THE CALL, THEN WHAT?

  • We’ll send notes, recaps, or templates. Otherwise, you’ll leave with next steps and strategy.

  • Absolutely. Some folks book follow-ups or move into longer-term support.

  • We’re not here to keep things comfortable,  we’re here to keep it 100. BCC’d HR blends people-first strategy with honest, no-fluff advocacy. We center employees, hold leadership accountable, and don’t play into performative HR.

If you’re looking for glossy decks, “best practices,” and HR-as-usual, keep scrolling

If you’re ready for accountability, honesty, and a partner who’ll ride for you? That’s BCC’d HR.

  • We are not attorneys, and nothing shared in your session should be considered legal advice or a substitute for it.

If your situation requires legal counsel, we’ll absolutely flag that and, if needed, help point you toward trusted legal resources. Our role is to provide strategic, people-centered HR guidance — not legal representation.

  • We love that you're curious, but strategy takes space. Book a session so we can actually help.

OK… BUT WHAT IS BCC’D HR?

FAQs For Businesses

  • We uncover what’s not working and help you fix it — for real. That might look like policy audits, culture diagnostics, conflict resolution, or employee listening tours. If it impacts people, we’re in it.

  • Traditional HR often handles day-to-day ops like payroll, compliance, and benefits. That work matters, it’s just not our lane. We focus on employee advocacy, engagement, and accountability: the unfiltered strategy that helps leaders uncover what’s really happening and act on it.

  • Yes, but only after a discovery phase or initial engagement. We don’t do blind retainers. We build relationships based on actual needs.

  • Yes. That’s actually one of our most requested services. We do structured, facilitated conflict repair with honest language and clear accountability.

  • We can do both. Some of our best work happens with internal HR teams who want backup and a fresh lens.

SCOPE AND SERVICES

PRICING AND PACKAGES

  • It depends on the scope. We don’t hide pricing, but we also don’t offer flat rates until we understand the problem.

  • Both. But even short engagements are done with care, intention, and a custom fit. You won’t find any off-the-shelf HR decks here.

  • No. We price by outcome, not by time. If you’re looking for someone to clock hours, we’re probably not the right fit.

  • We can be flexible with budgets if it’s a values fit and the budget is transparent. Strategy takes time and expertise, so we don’t discount the work, but we’ll explore what makes sense within your resources.

FIT AND ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Absolutely not and we’re proud of that. We work with teams ready to lead with truth, not cover-ups. If you’re here to look good without doing better, keep it moving.

  • Transparency, access, and a willingness to be uncomfortable. If you’re not ready to hear how your culture actually lands with employees, this won’t work.

  • We’re not “HR for optics.” We’re here to build better workplaces rooted in truth, trust, and accountability.

  • If it’s urgent, we offer priority sessions.  But let’s be real: if the fire’s already burning, it might take more than a one-time call. We’ll tell you what it really takes to turn things around.

  • We don’t promise quick fixes. Culture shifts take time. What we do guarantee: clear insight, honest feedback, and strategy you can act on. The results depend on what you do with it.

  • Be honest. What’s happening, what you’ve tried, what you’re hoping for. The more direct you are, the more clarity we can offer.

  • Depends on capacity and urgency. Some projects start within about a week or so. Others need a deeper intake. We won’t ghost you, we’ll give you a straight answer on timeline.

  • Absolutely. In fact, we require it. We don’t step into spaces cold, we partner with leadership first.

  • Always. Nothing leaves our sessions without your consent. Confidentiality is the foundation of how we build trust with employees and with you.
